Barbara Chojna said she was headed toward Paramus from Lodi when the driver of a gold Subaru hatchback "changed his mind about making a right and swerved into the intersection to make a left without even looking" at Essex Street and Main Streets/Rochelle Avenue around 7:40 a.m.
The hatchback hit her 2003 Toyota Highlander on the passenger side, said Chojna, 32, of Hasbrouck Heights.
"He stopped for a second, thought about it and then left," she said.
"No airbags deployed," Chojna said. "I ended up being able to drive to work."
The hit-and-run Subaru has front-end damage on the driver's side, she noted.
Anyone who might have seen the crash or has information that could help identify the driver is asked to contact Rochelle Park PD: (201) 843-1515.
